Algerian Parliament : The Moroccan military operation in Guerguerate «violates ceasefire»

The President of the National People’s Assembly, the lower house of the Algerian parliament, said on Sunday that Morocco’s recent military operation in Guerguerate «is a flagrant violation of the ceasefire agreement between the Kingdom and the Polisario».

Slimane Chenine called on the United Nations to «assume their legal and moral responsibilities». «It has become necessary and urgent for the United Nations to assume their legal and moral responsibilities to protect the Saharawi people and protect their economic resources», he added.

It is worth mentioning that the United Nations tried to make the Polisario Front abandon the idea of blocking the flow of goods and people in the Guerguerate border crossing in vain.
