5,415 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 301,604.
4,235 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 247,594.
82 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 4,932. 18 of these deaths were recorded in the Casablanca-Settat region, 16 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 13 in the Oriental, 10 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, 7 in Marrakech-Safi, 5 in Fès-Meknès, 4 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra, 3 in Souss-Massa, 3 in Drâa-Tafilalet and 1 death in Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab.
The country has 49,078 active cases, including 1,048 in critical conditions. 95 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat region recorded 2,328 new cases: 1,724 in Casablanca, 162 in Mohammedia, 102 in Nouaceur, 93 in Settat, 75 in Mediouna, 70 in Berrechid, 69 in El Jadida, 24 in Sidi Bennour and 9 cases in Benslimane. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, with 945 infections: 377 in Salé, 235 in Skhirat-Témara, 117 in Sidi Slimane, 89 in Rabat, 82 in Kénitra, 26 in Sidi Kacem and 19 cases in Khemisset.
Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima follows with 541 cases: 224 in Tanger-Assilah, 71 in M'Diq-Fnideq, 66 in Larache, 62 in Tétouan, 57 in Al Hoceima, 52 in Ouazzane, 8 in Chefchaouen and 1 in Fahs Anjra. 511 infections were confirmed in the Oriental region: 179 Oujda-Angad, 121 in Berkane, 106 in Nador, 48 in Taourirt, 31 in Jerada, 25 in Driouch and 1 case in Guercif.
Souss-Massa recorded 373 new cases: 233 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 48 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul, 31 in Tiznit, 28 in Tata, 23 in Chtouka-Ait Baha and 10 cases in Taroudant. Marrakech-Safi recorded 179 new infections: 121 in Marrakech, 16 in Essaouira, 14 in Kelaa des Sraghna, 12 in Youssoufia, 10 in Safi and 6 cases in the province of Rhamna.
Fès-Meknes confirmed 126 new infections: 42 in Taza, 29 in Fès, 23 in Sefrou, 16 in Boulmane, 15 in Meknes and 1 case in Taounate.
119 confirmed cases were found in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (104 in Laâyoune, 7 in Boujdour, 4 cases in Tarfaya and 4 others in Es-Smara), 109 infections in Drâa-Tafilalet (65 in Errachidia, 19 in Tinghir, 13 in Ouarzazate and 12 cases in Zagora) and 83 confirmed cases in Guelmim-Oued Noun (72 in Guelmim, 5 in Tan Tan, 3 cases in Sidi Ifni and 3 others in Assa Zag).
The Beni Mellal-Khénifra region recorded 77 new cases (24 in Fqih Bensaleh, 24 in Beni Mellal, 17 in Khouribga, 11 in Azilal and 1 case in Khénifra), while 24 new infections were confirmed in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab).
