5,391 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 306,995.
5,757 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 253,351.
81 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 5,013. 19 of these deaths were recorded in the region of Casablanca-Settat, 13 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 12 in Souss-Massa, 9 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma, 8 in Marrakech-Safi, 8 in Fès-Meknès, 5 in the Oriental, 5 in Béni Mellal-Khénifra, 1 in Guelmim-Oued Noun and 1 in Laâyoune-Es Sakia El Hamra.
The country has 48,613 active cases, including 1,040 in critical conditions. 90 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat comes first, with 1,706 cases: 1,227 in Casablanca, 115 in Nouaceur, 82 in El Jadida, 79 in Mohammedia, 72 in Berrechid, 53 in Settat , 37 in Médiouna, 30 in Benslimane and 11 in Sidi Bennour. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, with 948 cases: 343 in Kénitra, 251 in Skhirat-Témara, 205 in Salé, 111 in Rabat, 24 in Khémisset, 12 in Sidi Slimane and 2 in Sidi Kacem.
Souss-Massa has 656 new cases: 283 in Agadir Ida Ou Tanane, 116 in Inezgane Aït Melloul, 111 in Taroudant, 64 in Tata, 63 in Tiznit and 19 in Chtouka Aït Baha. Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma follows with 486 infections in 24 hours: 214 in Tanger-Assilah, 104 in Tétouan, 61 in Ouezzane, 50 in Larache, 43 in Al Hoceïma, 8 in M'diq-Fnideq and 6 in Chefchaouen.
The Oriental region follows with 462 cases: 141 in Oujda-Angad, 120 in Nador, 69 in Berkane, 37 in Guercif, 36 in Jerada, 31 in Figuig, 15 in Taourirt and 13 in Driouch. Marrakech-Safi recorded 356 new cases: 220 in Marrakech, 56 in Essaouira, 39 in Kelâa des Sraghna, 14 in Chichaoua, 11 in Al Haouz, 10 in Youssoufia, 5 in Rhamna and 1 in Safi.
Guelmim-Oued Noun recorded 200 infections: 128 in Guelmim, 54 in Assa Zag, 13 in Tan Tan and 5 in Sidi Ifni. The Drâa-Tafilalet region recorded 155 new infections: 73 in Midelt, 43 in Errachidia, 22 in Ouarzazate, 16 in Tinghir and 1 in Zagora. In Beni Mellal-Khénifra, 133 cases were confirmed: 41 in Khouribga, 37 in Béni Mellal, 24 in Fqih Bensalah, 21 in Azilal and 10 in Khénifra.
Laâyoune-Es Sakia El Hamra recorded 131 new cases: 116 in Laâyoune, 12 in Es Semara and 3 in Boujdour. Fès-Meknes recorded 129: 32 in Taza, 24 in Sefrou, 23 in Fez, 14 in Meknes, 13 in Boulemane, 9 in Ifrane, 8 in Taounate and 6 in El Hajeb. Dakhla-Oued Ed Dahab confirmed 29, all to Oued Ed Dahab.
