4,706 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 316,260.
4,220 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 262,212.
92 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 5,182. 33 of these deaths were recorded in the Casablanca-Settat region, 13 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, 12 in the Oriental, 10 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 8 in Marrakech-Safi, 7 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra, 6 in Fès-Meknès, 2 in Souss-Massa, 2 in Drâa-Tafilalet, and 1 death in Guelmim-Oued Noun.
The country has 48,866 active cases, including 1,047 in critical conditions. 102 of them are on ventilators.
1,359 new infections in Casablanca, 256 in Salé and 235 in Agadir
Casablanca-Settat region recorded 1,738 new cases: 1,359 in Casablanca, 87 in Nouaceur, 78 in Mohammedia, 66 in El Jadida, 65 in Berrechid, 55 in Settat, 21 in Mediouna, 4 in Sidi Bennour and 3 cases in Benslimane. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, with 876 infections: 256 in Salé, 231 in Skhirat-Témara, 163 in Kénitra, 100 in Rabat, 73 in Sidi Kacem, 39 in Sidi Slimane and 14 cases in Khemisset.
Souss-Massa follows with 432 new cases: 235 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 75 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul, 75 in Taroundant 37 in Chtouka-Ait Baha and 10 cases in Tiznit.
Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima recorded 418 cases: 203 in Tanger-Assilah, 69 in Tétouan, 39 in Chefchaouen, 37 in M’diq-Fnideq, 33 in Larache, 18 in Al Hoceima, 11 in Fahs Anjra and 8 cases in Ouazzane.
371 infections were confirmed in the Oriental region: 126 in Nador, 82 in Oujda-Angad, 61 in Berkane, 54 in Jerada, 29 in Taourirt, 13 in Figuig, 4 in Guercif and 2 cases in Driouch.
As for Marrakech-Safi, the region recorded 329 new infections: 188 in Marrakech, 43 in Essaouira, 40 in Safi, 24 in Youssoufia, 17 cases in Rhamna and 17 other cases in the Kelaa des Sraghna.
151 confirmed cases were recorded in Guelmim-Oued Noun (115 in Guelmim, 25 in Sidi Ifni, 9 in Tan Tan and 2 others in Assa Zag). The Beni Mellal-Khénifra region recorded 125 new cases (51 in Khouribga, 29 in Fqih Bensaleh, 26 in Beni Mellal, 12 in Azilal and 7 cases in Khénifra), while 85 new infections were confirmed in the Drâa-Tafilalet region (28 in Errachidia, 27 in Midelt, 13 in Ouarzazate, 9 in Zagora and 8 cases in Tinghir).
The region of Fès-Meknès, for its part, recorded a total of 86 infections (32 in Fès, 14 in Meknès, 12 in Sefrou, 7 in Taza and 3 cases in Ifrane). As for the Lâayoune-Sakia El Hamra region, 74 cases were recorded (47 in Lâayoune, 12 in Es-Smara, 9 in Tarfaya and 6 cases in Boujdour).
Finally, the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab region) has recorded 39 cases.
