3,999 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 331,527.
4,118 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 279,276.
73 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 5,469. 29 of these deaths were recorded in the Casablanca-Settat region, 8 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 7 in the Oriental, 6 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, 6 in Marrakech-Safi, 5 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra, 3 in Souss-Massa and 1 death in Drâa-Tafilalet. In addition, the three regions of the Sahara each recorded 1 death.
The country has 46,782 active cases, including 1,015 in critical conditions. 94 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat comes first, with 1,579 cases: 1,322 in Casablanca, 71 in Nouaceur, 52 in Berrechid, 43 in Settat, 38 in El Jadida, 33 in Médiouna , 16 in Mohammedia, 2 cases in Benslimane and two others in Sidi Bennour. Next is Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, with 883 cases: 318 in Salé, 284 in Skhirat-Témara, 141 in Kénitra, 90 in Rabat, 31 in Khemisset, 15 in Sidi Slimane and 4 cases in Sidi Kacem.
Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma follows with 369 infections: 183 in Tanger-Assilah, 68 in Tétouan, 46 in Ouazzane, 44 in Larache, 17 in M'diq-Fnideq and 11 cases in Chefchaouen. 229 new cases were confirmed in Marrakech-Safi: 146 in Marrakech, 29 in Essaouira, 23 in Kelaa des Sraghna, 11 in Rhamna, 10 in Youssoufia, 9 in Safi and 1 case in Chichaoua.
The region of Guelmim-Oued Noun recorded 201 new infections: 127 in Guelmim, 44 in Assa Zag, 24 in Sidi Ifni and 6 cases in Tan Tan. The Oriental region recorded 199 new cases: 41 in Oujda-Angad, 41 in Taourirt, 38 in Nador, 36 in Guercif, 19 in Figuig, 12 in Driouch, 11 in Berkane and 1 case in Jerada.
Souss-Massa recorded 197 new cases: 76 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 44 in Inzegane-Aït Melloul, 39 in Tata, 29 ç Tiznit, 5 in Chtouka-Ait Baha and 4 cases in Taroudant.
88 new infections were recorded in Drâa-Tafilalet (36 in Errachidia, 15 in Midelt, 15 in Tinghir, 14 in Ouarzazate and 8 cases in Zagora), 84 in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (71 in Laâyoune , 7 in Es-Smara and 6 cases in Tarfaya) and 82 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra (29 in Fqih Bensaleh, 27 in Beni Mellal, 20 in Khouribga, 5 in Azilal and 1 case in Khénifra).
Fès-Meknes recorded 53 new infections (34 in Fez, 14 in Meknes, 2 in Taza, 2 in Moulay Yacoub and 1 case in Taounate) while 35 cases were confirmed in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab ( Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab).
