Ukraine wants to negotiate a free trade agreement with Morocco

Deputy Minister for Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture Taras Kachka said, Tuesday, that his country's government wants to initiate negotiations to seal free trade agreements (FTA) with several countries, including Morocco, China and Great Britain.

Quoted by media, Kachka said that Ukrainian officials will start these negotiations not only with Morocco, but also with most of the countries of North Africa. «This December, we plan to formalize this in official statements or memoranda, starting from Egypt to Morocco. Also, Jordan, Vietnam and Indonesia are among our priorities», he said.

Meanwhile, Taras Kachka added that Ukraine was «ready for the FTA with major trading partners like China». China's State Statistics Service estimates that Ukraine-China trade turnover was at $ 12.79 billion in 2019.
