2,900 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 384,088.
3,450 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 337,719.
50 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 6,370. 14 of these deaths were recorded in the Casablanca-Settat region, 11 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 6 in Marrakech-Safi, 6 in the Oriental, 3 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, 3 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra, 2 in Guelmim-Oued Noun, 3 in Fès-Meknes, 1 death in Souss-Massa and another in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra.
The country has 39,999 active cases, including 961 in critical conditions. 76 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat recorded 1,317 infections: 937 in Casablanca, 95 in Mohammedia, 88 in El Jadida, 54 in Berrechid, 47 in Settat, 37 in Mediouna, 29 in Nouaceur, 21 in Sidi Bennour and 9 in Benslimane. Next is Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, with 479 cases: 167 in Skhirat-Témara, 130 in Sale, 66 in Rabat, 52 in Khemisset, 44 in Kénitra, 19 in Sidi Slimane and 1 case in Sidi Kacem.
Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma follows with 251 new cases: 98 in Tanger-Assilah, 48 in Tétouan, 39 in Larache, 39 in Al Hoceima, 17 in M'diq-Fnideq, 5 cases in Chefchaouen and 5 others in Fahs Anjra. 209 new infections were recorded in Souss-Massa: 71 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 50 in Tiznit, 39 in Inzegane-Aït Melloul, 23 in Taroudant, 20 in Tata and 6 in Chtouka-Ait Baha.
Marrakech-Safi has 190 new cases: 151 in Marrakech, 33 in Essaouira, 3 in Safi, 2 in Al Haouz and 1 case in Rhamna. The Oriental region recorded 148 new infections: 98 in Oujda-Angad, 14 in Jerada, 13 in Driouch, 10 in Berkane, 8 in Taourirt and 5 cases in Nador.
98 cases were confirmed in Guelmim-Oued Noun (53 in Guelmim, 25 in Tan Tan, 16 in Sidi Ifni and 4 cases in Assa Zag), 69 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra (36 in Beni Mellal, 19 in Fqih Bensaleh, 7 in Khouribga, 6 in Khénifra and 1 case in Azilal) and 62 in Fès-Meknes (31 in Fès, 12 in Meknes, 8 in El Hajeb, 6 in Taza and 5 cases in Sefrou).
In the southern provinces, Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra recorded 40 new infections (36 in Laâyoune and 4 in Es-Smara), Drâa-Tafilalet recorded 30 cases (13 in Errachidia, 6 in Ouarzazate, 6 in Midelt, 3 in Zagora and 2 cases in Tinghir) while 7 infections were confirmed in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab).
