Spanish police arrested a 20-year-old Moroccan man in Alicante for being the alleged perpetrator of two sexual assaults on two women on the same night.
According to a statement from the police station, quoted by the Spanish newspaper ABC, the young man was arrested following two police reports. The first was received around 5:30 a.m., informing that a woman who was about to enter her house, was approached by a man with a bladed weapon. «He forced her to undress and then sexually assaulted her and stole her cell phone».
About 30 minutes later, at around 6 am, a second notice was received from a witness who said he heard a woman inside a vehicle screaming and asking for help. A patrol, which went to the scene then found that it was a second sexual assault, again committed with violence and intimidation. The assailant allegedly stole two suitcases, cash and a cell phone.
The victims were taken to Alicante General Hospital for a medical examination, one of them showing a puncture wound to the thigh and the other with clear signs of rape.
