Senior Advisor to the President of the United States Jared Kushner is expected to visit Morocco on Tuesday, December 22, taking the first direct flight connecting Tel Aviv to Rabat. According to the Reuters, Kushner will be meeting the day before visiting Morocco Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Jared Kushner will be accompanied by Assistant to the President and Special Representative for International Negotiations Avi Berkowitz, and Adam Boehler the first CEO of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation.

The same sources indicate that Kushner will be accompanied by «an Israeli delegation which will be led by Meir Ben-Shabbat, head of Israeli national security, during the El Al flight».

In September, the possible establishment of direct air links between Rabat and Tel Aviv was «categorically» denied by Morocco, through diplomatic sources contacted by the Spanish press agency EFE.

But the day after the official resumption of diplomatic relations, Israeli airline companies Israir and El Al said that they are «ready» to operate direct flights between Morocco and Israel.
