After the announcement by several European countries of the suspension of travel from and to the United Kingdom, Morocco follows suit.

Due to the evolution of the epidemiological situation in the United Kingdom and the emergence of a new strain of SARS-CoV-2 virus, the Moroccan government has decided to suspend flights to and from the United Kingdom, starting from tonight Sunday, December 20.

Royal Air Maroc has announced that passengers holding tickets on these flights can benefit from a free change of the date of the flight and/or destination to elsewhere in Europe, or can request a refund of the price of their ticket. The company invites customers affected by this decision to contact its call center (in Morocco: 089000 0800 // International number: +212 5 22 489797).

Amid fears of the new strain of the virus spreading faster, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced on Saturday that millions of people in London and the south-east of England must comply with new lockdown measures during this holiday season which aim to curb traveling and new infections.
