877 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 418,002.
1,980 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 380,134.
43 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 7,000. 10 of these deaths were recorded in the Casablanca-Settat region, 10 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 6 in Fès-Meknès, 5 in Marrakech-Safi, 4 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra, 3 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, 3 in the Oriental, 1 in Souss-Massa and 1 in Guelmim-Oued Noun.
The country has 30,868 active cases, including 1,069 in critical conditions. 88 of them are on ventilators.
The region of Casablanca-Settat leads the way with 232 infections: 183 in Casablanca, 19 in El Jadida, 13 in Nouaceur, 5 in Berrechid, 4 in Settat, 3 in Mediouna, 2 in Mohammedia, 2 in Sidi Bennour and 1 in Benslimane. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra with 203 cases: 47 in Kénitra, 43 in Rabat, 35 in Sale, 31 in Skhirat-Témara, 26 in Khemisset, 13 in Sidi Kacem and 8 in Sidi Slimane.
Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma follows with 142 new cases: 57 in Tanger-Assilah, 23 in M'diq-Fnideq, 22 in Tétouan, 19 in Al Hoceima, 12 in Ouazzane and 9 in Chefchaouen. In addition, 84 new infections were recorded in the Oriental region: 46 in Oujda-Angad, 31 in Nador, 4 in Berkane, 2 in Driouch and 1 in Jerada.
Fès-Meknès, for its part, identified 75 cases: 42 in Fez, 13 in Meknes, 6 in Ifrane, 4 in Taza, 4 in Sefrou, 3 in El Hajeb, 2 in Taounate and 1 in Boulmane. Souss-Massa recorded, for its part, 57 infections: 46 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 9 in Inzegane-Aït Melloul and 2 in Chtouka-Ait Baha.
50 confirmed cases were identified in Marrakech-Safi (41 in Marrakech, 5 in Safi and 4 in Essaouira), 15 cases were recorded in Beni Mellal-Khénifra (6 in Beni Mellal, 5 in Khouribga and 4 in Fqih Bensaleh) as well as 13 infections recorded in Drâa-Tafilalet (8 in Zagora and 5 in Ouarzazate).
Lastly, 13 cases were recorded in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab) while one infection was confirmed in Guelmim (Guelmim-Oued Noun).
