The Moroccan government has decided to implement a nighttime curfew, from 9 pm to 6 am, nationwide. The decision will enter into force on December 23, and will last for three weeks.
The decision includes, in addition to that, closing restaurants, cafes, shops and supermarkets at 8 pm, prohibiting public or private parties and gatherings.
A total closure of restaurants, for a period of three weeks, will take effect from the same date in Casablanca, Marrakech, Agadir and Tangier, four cities particularly affected by the pandemic.
The government indicates that all the other preventive measures announced previously remain in place, namely the reduction of inter-city travels to emergencies, wearing face masks and practicing social distancing.
