1,517 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 432,079.
1,965 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 398,060.
36 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 7,240. 13 of these deaths were recorded in the Casablanca-Settat region, 6 in Marrakech-Safi, 4 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 4 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, 3 in Souss-Massa, 3 in the Oriental, one in Fès-Meknes, one in Drâa-Tafilalet and another in Beni Mellal-Khénifra.
The country has 27,779 active cases, including 1,232 in critical conditions. 104 of them are on ventilators.
The region of Casablanca-Settat leads the way with 499 infections: 375 in Casablanca, 46 in El Jadida, 24 in Mohammedia, 17 in Berrechid, 16 in Nouaceur, 13 in Settat, 5 in Mediouna and 3 in Benslimane. Next comes Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma with 264 new cases: 119 in Tanger-Assilah, 65 in Tétouan, 28 in Larache, 18 in M'diq-Fnideq, 15 in Al Hoceima, 9 in Chefchaouen, 9 in Ouazzane and 1 in Fahs Anjra.
Souss-Massa follows with 219 cases: 71 in Inzegane-Aït Melloul, 66 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 48 in Tiznit, 15 in Chtouka-Ait Baha, 12 in Taroudant and 7 in Tata. In addition, 209 new infections were recorded in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra: 92 in Skhirat-Témara, 36 in Salé, 32 in Rabat, 24 in Kénitra, 15 in Sidi Kacem, 7 in Khemisset and 3 in Sidi Slimane.
Marrakech-Safi has identified 110 cases: 68 in Marrakech, 12 in Kelaa des Sraghna, 8 in Essaouira, 6 in Chichaoua, 6 in Safi, 4 in Al Haouz, 4 in the province of Rhamna and 2 in Youssoufia . Fès-Meknes recorded, for its part, 73 infections: 29 in Fez, 13 in Taza, 9 in Meknes, 9 in Taounate, 5 in Sefrou, 4 in Ifrane and 4 in Moulay Yacoub.
There are also 51 confirmed cases in the Oriental (16 in Nador, 16 in Berkane, 12 in Oujda-Angad, 4 in Taourirt and 3 in Jerada), 41 cases identified in Drâa-Tafilalet (20 in Errachidia, 7 in Ouarzazate, 7 in Tinghir, 5 in Zagora and 2 in Midelt) as well as 53 infections recorded in Beni Mellal-Khénifra (8 in Beni Mellal, 5 in Khouribga, 4 in Khénifra, 3 in Fqih Bensaleh and 1 in Azilal).
Lastly, in the Southern provinces, 18 cases were recorded in Guelmim-Oued Noun (15 in Guelmim, 2 in Tan Tan and 1 in Sidi Ifni) while 19 cases were recorded in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab ( Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab) and 5 infections were confirmed in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (4 in Laâyoune and 1 in Tarfaya).
