Nightly sit-ins against normalization with Israel were organized on Tuesday evening in Khénifra and Zaïo, following calls from pro-Palestine activists. According to Alyaoum 24, the sit-in in Zaïo took place next to the city's shopping area, during which the demonstrators denounced «the normalization agreement signed between Morocco and the Zionist entity».
A second one, planned in the city center of Khénifra was banned by the authorities. «This is Morocco, this is Khénifra. You are forbidden to denounce the normalization with child killers and with the usurping entity or to refuse the drift of your country on the slope of treason», denounced one of the activists present in the area, with photos of the police intervention.
Similar sit-ins took place in several cities over the past week, including Saturday in Mohammedia and Friday in the Sidi Othman district in Casablanca, where worshipers who had come to perform Friday prayers gathered, carrying flags of Palestine and banners with slogans against normalization with Israel.
These sit-ins in front of mosques also took place in the cities of Tangier, Meknès, Tétouan, Guercif, Taza, Oulad Taima and Larache.
