2,143 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 437,332.
3,822 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 405,251.
41 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 7,355. 16 of these deaths were recorded in the Casablanca-Settat region, 6 in the Oriental region, 4 in Fès-Meknès, 3 in Souss-Massa, 3 in Marrakech-Safi, 2 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, 2 in Rabat -Salé-Kénitra, 2 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra, 2 in Drâa-Tafilalet and one in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra.
The country has 24,726 active cases, including 1,121 in critical conditions. 98 of them are on ventilators.
The region of Casablanca-Settat leads the way with 811 infections: 627 in Casablanca, 38 in El Jadida, 35 in Nouaceur, 32 in Mohammedia, 27 in Settat, 23 in Mediouna, 23 in Berrechid, 5 in Benslimane and 1 in Sidi Bennour. Then comes Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma with 340 new cases: 184 in Tanger-Assilah, 60 in Tetouan, 38 in Larache, 27 in Al Hoceima, 19 in M'diq-Fnideq, 7 in Ouazzane, 4 in Al Fahs Anjra and 1 in Chefchaouen.
The Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region follows with 278 cases: 89 in Kénitra, 81 in Skhirat-Témara, 80 in Salé, 14 in Rabat, 10 in Khemisset, 3 in Sidi Kacem and 1 in Slimane. In addition, 173 new infections were identified in Souss-Massa: 67 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 55 in Inzegane-Aït Melloul, 41 in Taroudant, 34 in Tiznit and 14 in Chtouka-Ait Baha.
Marrakech-Safi has identified, for its part, 181 cases: 98 in Marrakech, 23 in Essaouira, 13 in Safi, 12 in Chichaoua, 11 in Kelaa des Sraghna, 9 in Al Haouz, 9 in Youssoufia and 6 in Rhamna. The Oriental recorded, for its part, 94 infections: 32 in Nador, 30 in Oujda-Angad, 26 in Berkane, 2 in Taourirt, 2 in Driouch, 1 in Guercif and 1 in Jerada.
75 cases were also confirmed in Fès-Meknes (25 in Fès, 15 in Sefrou, 12 in Meknes, 12 in Taounate, 7 in Taza, 2 in El Hajeb, 1 in Boulmane and 1 in Ifrane), 57 cases were recorded in Beni Mellal-Khénifra (21 in Beni Mellal, 11 in Fqih Bensaleh, 11 in Khouribga, 8 in Azilal and 6 in Khénifra). 52 other infections were recorded in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (36 in Laâyoune, 13 in Boujdour and 3 in Es-Smara).
Lastly, 20 infections were confirmed in Drâa-Tafilalet (16 in Errachidia and 4 in Tinghir), 12 cases were recorded in Guelmim-Oued Noun (10 in Guelmim and 2 in Sidi Ifni) and 12 infections were identified in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab region).
