656 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 443,802.
1,579 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 414,972.
53 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 7,538. 27 of these deaths were recorded in the Casablanca-Settat region, 6 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 6 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra, 4 in Fès-Meknès, 3 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, 2 in Souss-Massa, 2 in Marrakech-Safi, 2 in Drâa-Tafilalet and 1 in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra.
The country has 21,292 active cases, including 1,169 in critical conditions. 84 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat recorded 175 infections: 145 in Casablanca, 8 in Nouaceur, 7 in Berrechid, 6 in El Jadida, 5 in Mohammedia, 2 in Settat and 2 in Mediouna. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra with 127 new cases: 48 in Salé, 24 in Skhirat-Témara, 18 in Kénitra, 15 in Rabat, 13 in Khemisset, 6 in Sidi Kacem and 3 in Slimane.
Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma follows with 109 cases: 32 in Tanger-Assilah, 26 in Al Hoceima, 17 in Tétouan, 10 in Ouazzane, 10 in M'diq-Fnideq, 8 in Chefchaouen and 6 in Larache. 102 new infections were recorded in Souss-Massa: 56 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 18 in Inzegane-Aït Melloul, 13 in Tiznit, 10 in Taroudant and 5 in Tata.
Fès-Meknes recorded 45 cases: 24 in Fez, 9 in Meknes, 8 in Sefrou, 2 in Taza, 1 in Ifrane and 1 in El Hajeb. The Oriental region recorded 33 infections: 14 in Nador, 7 in Oujda-Angad, 6 in Berkane, 2 in Figuig, 2 in Driouch, 1 in Guercif and 1 in Taourirt.
29 confirmed cases were recorded in Marrakech-Safi (15 in Marrakech, 6 in Safi, 5 in Essaouira and 3 in Youssoufia), 26 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra (12 in Azilal, 6 in Khouribga, 4 in Beni Mellal, 2 in Fqih Bensaleh and 2 in Khénifra) 4 in Guelmim-Oued Noun (3 in Tan Tan and 1 in Sidi Ifni).
4 cases were recorded in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab), 1 case was recorded in Tinghir (Drâa-Tafilalet) while another was identified in Tarfaya (Laâyoune- Sakia El Hamra).
