1,597 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 448,678.
1,825 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 420,569.
27 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 7,645. 7 of these deaths were recorded in the Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima region, 5 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra, 4 in Casablanca-Settat, 4 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 2 in Marrakech-Safi, 2 in Fès-Meknès and 1 in the Oriental region.
The country has 20,464 active cases, including 1,100 in critical conditions. 75 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat recorded 548 infections: 432 in Casablanca, 37 in El Jadida, 26 in Nouaceur, 18 in Mohammedia, 13 in Berrechid, 10 in Mediouna, 9 in Settat and 3 in Benslimane. Next comes Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma with 356 new cases: 182 in Tanger-Assilah, 63 in Tétouan, 43 in Al Hoceima, 26 in Larache, 19 in M'diq-Fnideq, 13 in Chefchaouen, 5 in Fahs Anjra and 5 in Ouazzane.
Rabat-Salé-Kénitra with 246 cases: 89 in Salé, 50 in Kénitra, 45 in Skhirat-Témara, 31 in Sidi Kacem, 14 in Sidi Slimane, 14 in Rabat and 3 in Khemisset. 101 new infections were recorded in Marrakech-Safi: 50 in Marrakech, 21 in Essaouira, 8 in Chichaoua, 8 in Kelaa des Sraghna, 7 in Safi, 5 in Rhamna and 2 in Al Haouz.
Souss-Massa recorded 92 cases: 49 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 31 in Inzegane-Aït Melloul, 7 in Chtouka-Ait Baha and 5 in Tiznit. The Oriental region recorded 68 infections: 17 in Nador, 17 in Berkane, 14 in Oujda-Angad, 8 in Guercif, 7 in Driouch, 2 in Taourirt, 2 in Jerada and 1 in Figuig.
62 confirmed cases were recorded in Fès-Meknes (26 in Fez, 10 in Meknes, 9 in Taza, 5 in Sefrou, 4 in El Hajeb, 3 in Boulmane, 3 in Ifrane and 2 in Taounate), 41 in Drâa-Tafilalet (19 in Errachidia, 9 in Tinghir, 7 in Ouarzazate, 5 in Midelt and 1 in Zagora) as well as 29 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra (11 in Khénifra, 11 in Khouribga, 6 in Beni Mellal and 1 to Fqih Bensaleh).
In the southern provinces, 25 infections were confirmed in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (16 in Laâyoune, 3 in Boujdour, 3 in Tarfaya and 3 in Es-Smara), 16 in Guelmim-Oued Noun ( 8 in Guelmim, 4 in Tan Tan, 3 in Sidi Ifni and 1 in Assa-Zag) and 13 in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab).
