Covid-19 : 925 new infections and 23 deaths Saturday in Morocco

925 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 465,769.

1,041 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 431,693.

23 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 8,128. 6 of these deaths were recorded in the Casablanca-Settat region, 4 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, 3 in Fès-Meknès, 2 in Souss-Massa, 1 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 2 in the Oriental, 2 in Marrakech-Safi, 1 in Drâa-Tafilalet, 1 in Guelmim-Oued Noun and 1 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra.

The country has 15,948 active cases, including 772 in critical conditions. 65 of them are on ventilators.

Casablanca-Settat recorded 384 infections: 308 in Casablanca, 23 in Nouaceur, 20 in El Jadida, 18 in Mohammedia, 9 in Berrechid, 5 in Mediouna and 1 in Benslimane. Then comes Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma with 160 new cases: 51 in Tanger-Assilah, 47 in Al Hoceima, 34 in Tétouan, 20 in M'diq-Fnideq, 3 in Larache, 3 in Chefchaouen and 2 in Ouazzane.

Rabat-Salé-Kénitra follows with 132 cases: 45 in Skhirat-Témara, 31 in Kénitra, 26 in Salé, 14 in Rabat, 9 in Sidi Kacem, 5 in Sidi Slimane and 2 in Khemisset. 90 new infections were recorded in Souss-Massa: 39 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 29 in Tiznit, 8 in Inzegane-Aït Melloul, 5 in Tata, 5 in Taroudant and 4 in Chtouka-Ait Baha.

The Oriental region recorded 43 cases: 14 in Oujda-Angad, 13 in Nador, 13 in Berkane and 3 in Driouch. Marrakech-Safi recorded 38 infections: 24 in Marrakech, 9 in Essaouira and 5 in Safi.

21 confirmed cases were recorded in Drâa-Tafilalet (8 in Ouarzazate, 6 in Errachidia, 3 in Midelt, 3 in Tinghir and 1 in Zagora), 20 in Fès-Meknes (9 in Fès, 5 in Meknes , 3 in Taza, 2 in El Hajeb and 1 in Ifrane), and 13 in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab).

12 infections were confirmed in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (6 in Laâyoune, 4 in Boujdour, 1 in Tarfaya and 1 in Es-Smara), 6 in Guelmim-Oued Noun (4 in Guelmim and 2 in Sidi Ifni) and 6 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra (3 in Fqih Bensaleh, 1 in Beni Mellal, 1 in Khouribga and 1 in Khénifra).
