Israeli diplomat David Goffrin arrived, Tuesday, in Rabat to assume his post as Israel’s temporary charge d’affaires in Morocco.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry Facebook page announced the arrival of the diplomat, who formerly worked as Israel’s envoy to Egypt.

«The head of the liaison office and his team will work together to strengthen relations [with Morocco] in all areas», said the same source.

Morocco and Israel have agreed to reopen liaison offices in a deal brokered by the United States. After a US-Israeli high-level delegation visited Morocco, a Moroccan one flew to Israel to proceed with the reopening of Tel Aviv’s liaison office.
