Covid-19 : 890 new infections and 20 deaths Wednesday in Morocco

890 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 468,383.

1,358 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 446,181.

20 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 8,207. 7 of these deaths were recorded in the Oriental, 6 in Casablanca-Settat, 2 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, 2 in Marrakech-Safi, 2 in Fès-Meknes and 1 in Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab.

The country has 13,995 active cases, including 772 in critical conditions. 63 of them are on ventilators.

Casablanca-Settat recorded 338 infections: 246 in Casablanca, 34 in Mediouna, 15 in Mohammedia, 15 in Nouaceur, 11 in El Jadida, 11 in Berrechid, 5 in Settat and 1 in Benslimane. Next comes Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma with 189 new cases: 102 in Tanger-Assilah, 32 in Tétouan, 22 in Al Hoceima, 20 in Larache, 5 in M'diq-Fnideq, 5 in Chefchaouen and 3 in Fahs Anjra.

The Oriental region follows with 94 cases: 30 in Berkane, 28 in Nador, 21 in Oujda-Angad, 11 in Driouch, 3 in Taourirt and 1 in Jerada. 74 new infections were recorded in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra: 31 in Skhirat-Témara, 29 in Salé, 8 in Kénitra, 5 in Rabat and 1 in Sidi Kacem.

Marrakech-Safi confirmed 68 cases: 37 in Marrakech, 26 in Essaouira, 2 in Kelaa des Sraghna, 1 in Safi, 1 in Youssoufia and 1 in the province of Al Haouz. Souss-Massa recorded 48 infections: 21 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 11 in Tiznit, 9 in Inzegane-Aït Melloul, 6 in Taroudant and 1 in Chtouka-Ait Baha.

21 confirmed cases in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (14 in Laâyoune and 7 in Boujdour), 18 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra (8 in Khouribga, 6 in Beni Mellal, 3 in Fqih Bensaleh, and 1 in Khénifra) as well as 16 in Drâa-Tafilalet (5 in Errachidia, 4 in Ouarzazate, 3 in Zagora, 2 in Midelt and 2 in Tinghir).

11 infections were confirmed in Fès-Meknes (4 in Fès, 3 in Meknes, 2 in Taounate, 1 in Taza and 1 in Sefrou), 10 in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla- Oued Ed-Dahab) and 3 in Guelmim-Oued Noun (2 in Sidi Ifni and 1 in Guelmim).
