Al Adl Wal Ihsane says arrival of Israeli envoy to Morocco to head liaison office is a «disaster»

The Al Adl Wal Ihsane movement denounced the arrival of the charge d'affaires of the Israeli liaison office in Morocco, calling the move a «disaster». 

«It is a day of mourning and anger for the Moroccan people on whom this unpopular choice was imposed which affects their dignity, their strength and their future», denounced the association in a statement.

For the record, Israeli diplomat David Goffrin arrived, Tuesday, in Rabat to assume his post as Israel’s temporary charge d’affaires in Morocco.

Morocco and Israel have agreed to reopen liaison offices in a deal brokered by the United States. After a US-Israeli high-level delegation visited Morocco, a Moroccan one flew to Israel to proceed with the reopening of Tel Aviv’s liaison office.
