The US chargé d’Affaires David Greene congratulated King Mohammed VI on the launch of the anti-Covid-19 vaccination campaign in a letter sent on Monday.
«It is with the highest respect that I extend my warm congratulations on the launch of the SARS-CoV-2 vaccination campaign, the first major country-wide campaign in Africa», the diplomat wrote.

«Given the pressures and the global challenges in addressing the pandemic, I commend the outstanding perseverance and solidarity of the government and the people of Morocco», reads the letter published on Twitter.
For the record, Morocco launched its vaccination campaign against the coronavirus last week, relying on the AstraZeneca and Sinopharm vaccines. 200,081 people have received the vaccine against Covid-19.
