835 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 472,273. 257,291 people have received the vaccine against Covid-19.
795 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 450,847.
22 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 8,287. 7 of these deaths were recorded in the Casablanca-Settat region, 4 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 3 in Marrakech-Safi, 3 in the Oriental region, 2 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, 2 in Fès-Meknes and 1 in Souss-Massa.
The country has 13,117 active cases, including 676 in critical conditions. 54 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat recorded 319 infections: 234 in Casablanca, 29 in Nouaceur, 22 in El Jadida, 16 in Mohammedia, 10 in Mediouna, 4 in Berrechid, 3 in Settat and 1 in Benslimane. Next comes Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma with 232 new cases: 109 in Tanger-Assilah, 74 in Larache, 30 in Tetouan, 9 in M'diq-Fnideq, 8 in Al Hoceima and 2 in Chefchaouen.
Rabat-Salé-Kénitra follows with 94 cases: 45 in Salé, 29 in Skhirat-Témara, 5 in Sidi Slimane, 5 in Rabat, 4 in Kénitra, 3 in Sidi Kacem and 3 in Khemisset. 71 new infections were recorded in the Oriental region: 41 in Oujda-Angad, 16 in Nador, 6 in Berkane, 5 in Driouch, 2 in Figuig and 1 in Taourirt.
Marrakech-Safi recorded 38 cases: 35 in Marrakech, 2 in Chichaoua and 1 in Safi. Souss-Massa confirmed 32 infections: 18 in Tiznit, 7 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 2 in Chtouka Ait Baha, 2 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul, 2 in Tata and 1 in Taroudant.
13 confirmed cases were recorded in Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra (10 in Laâyoune and 3 in Boujdour), 11 cases in Fès-Meknes (5 in Fez, 4 in Taounate, 1 in Sefrou and 1 in El Hajeb) and 11 in Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab all in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab, while Drâa-Tafilalet (6 in Ouarzazate and 5 in Errachidia).
6 cases were confirmed in Beni Mellal-Khénifra (2 in Khouribga, 2 in Fqih Bensaleh, 1 in Beni Mellal and 1 in Khénifra), 5 in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab) and 3 infections in Sidi Ifni (Guelmim-Oued Noun).
