Covid-19 in Morocco : 774 new infections and 308,398 people vaccinated as of Wednesday

774 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 473,047. 308,398 people have received the vaccine against Covid-19.

933 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 451,780.

14 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 8,323. 4 of these deaths were recorded in the Casablanca-Settat region, 2 in the Oriental, 2 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 2 in Souss-Massa, 1 in Marrakech-Safi, 1 in Drâa-Tafilalet, 1 in Beni Mellal -Khénifra and 1 in Fès-Meknes.

The country has 12,944 active cases, including 650 in critical conditions. 57 of them are on ventilators.

Casablanca-Settat recorded 302 infections: 231 in Casablanca, 20 in Mohammedia, 15 in Settat, 15 in Nouaceur, 9 in El Jadida, 5 in Berrechid, 4 in Mediouna and 3 in Benslimane. Next comes Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma with 106 new cases: 56 in Tanger-Assilah, 16 in Tetouan, 14 in Al Hoceima, 10 in M'diq-Fnideq, 5 in Chefchaouen and 5 in Ouazzane.

The Oriental region follows with 80 cases: 25 in Oujda-Angad, 24 in Nador, 21 in Berkane, 4 in Taourirt, 4 in Jerada and 2 in Driouch. 69 new infections in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra: 23 in Kénitra, 22 in Sale, 13 in Skhirat-Témara, 5 in Rabat, 3 in Sidi Kacem, 2 in Khemisset and 1 in Sidi Slimane.

Souss-Massa recorded 60 cases: 34 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 9 in Chtouka Ait Baha, 7 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul, 7 in Tiznit and 3 in Taroudant. Marrakech-Safi recorded 44 infections: 27 in Marrakech, 7 in Essaouira, 3 in Kelaa des Sraghna, 2 in Safi, 2 in Youssoufia, 2 in Chichaoua and 1 in the province of Rhamna.

32 confirmed cases were recorded in Oued Ed-Dahab, 27 in Drâa-Tafilalet (17 in Errachidia, 8 in Ouarzazate, 1 in Zagora and 1 in Midelt) and 21 in Beni- Mellal-Khénifra (7 in Fqih Bensaleh, 6 in Khouribga, 5 in Beni Mellal and 3 in Khénifra).

16 cases were confirmed in Fès-Meknes (7 in Taza, 4 in Meknes, 3 in Fès, 1 in Taounate and 1 in Sefrou), 15 in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (10 in Laâyoune, 4 in Boujdour and 1 in Tarfaya) and 2 in Guelmim-Oued Noun (1 in Guelmim and 1 in Sidi Ifni).
