Covid-19 in Morocco : 620 new infections and 351,723 people vaccinated as of Thursday

620 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 473,667. 351,723 people have received the vaccine against Covid-19.

742 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 452,522.

28 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 8,351. 8 of these deaths were recorded in the Casablanca-Settat region, 5 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 3 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, 3 in Marrakech-Safi, 3 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra, 2 in Fès-Meknès, 1 in the Oriental region and 1 in Souss-Massa.

The country has 12,794 active cases, including 622 in critical conditions. 58 of them are on ventilators.

Casablanca-Settat recorded 255 infections: 187 in Casablanca, 24 in El Jadida, 20 in Nouaceur, 19 in Mohammedia, 3 in Mediouna, 1 in Settat and 1 in Berrechid. Next comes Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma with 80 new cases: 33 in Tanger-Assilah, 16 in Al Hoceima, 13 in Larache, 11 in Tétouan, 3 in Ouazzane, 2 in M'diq-Fnideq, 1 in Chefchaouen and 1 in Fahs Anjra.

Rabat-Salé-Kénitra recorded 76 cases: 29 in Skhirat-Témara, 24 in Salé, 7 in Sidi Slimane, 7 in Khemisset, 4 in Sidi Kacem, 3 in Kénitra and 2 in Rabat. 74 new infections were recorded in the Oriental region: 24 in Oujda-Angad, 24 in Nador, 12 in Berkane, 8 in Driouch, 3 in Jerada, 2 in Taourirt and 1 in Figuig.

Marrakech-Safi confirmed 38 cases: 32 in Marrakech, 2 in Essaouira, 2 in Safi, 1 in Kelaa des Sraghna and 1 in the province of Al Haouz. Souss-Massa recorded 33 infections: 17 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 10 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul, 4 in Taroudant and 2 in Tiznit.

17 confirmed cases were recorded Fès-Meknes (6 in Fès, 3 in El Hajeb, 3 in Taza, 2 in Meknes, 2 in Taounate and 1 in Sefrou), 12 in Drâa-Tafilalet (6 in Errachidia , 3 in Midelt, 2 in Tinghir and 1 in Ouarzazate) and 12 in Beni-Mellal-Khénifra (8 in Beni Mellal, 2 in Khénifra and 2 in Fqih Bensaleh).

In the southern provinces, 11 cases were confirmed in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (6 in Laâyoune and 5 in Boujdour), 8 in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab while 4 infections were recorded in Guelmim-Oued Noun (2 in Guelmim and 2 in Sidi Ifni).
