Covid-19 in Morocco : 712 new infections and 408,235 people vaccinated as of Friday

712 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 474,379. 408,235 people have received the vaccine against Covid-19.

780 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 453,302.

17 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 8,368. 6 of these deaths were recorded in the Casablanca-Settat region, 3 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 2 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, 2 in the Oriental, 2 in Marrakech-Safi, 1 in Dakhla-Oued Ed- Dahab and 1 in Drâa-Tafilalet.

The country has 12,709 active cases, including 606 in critical conditions. 55 of them are on ventilators.

Casablanca-Settat recorded 306 infections: 244 in Casablanca, 20 in Mohammedia, 17 in Nouaceur, 8 in Berrechid, 8 in El Jadida, 8 in Mediouna and 1 in Benslimane. Then comes Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma with 93 new cases: 31 in Tanger-Assilah, 25 in Tétouan, 15 in M'diq-Fnideq, 14 in Al Hoceima, 5 in Larache and 3 in Chefchaouen.

The Oriental region follows with 81 cases: 35 in Oujda-Angad, 23 in Nador, 14 in Berkane, 8 in Driouch and 1 in Figuig. 60 new infections were recorded in Souss-Massa: 34 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 9 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul, 8 in Chtouka Ait Baha, 5 in Taroudant and 4 in Tiznit.

Rabat-Salé-Kénitra recorded 52 cases: 19 in Skhirat-Témara, 13 in Salé, 8 in Kénitra, 6 in Sidi Kacem, 5 in Rabat and 1 in Khemisset. Marrakech-Safi recorded 46 infections: 28 in Marrakech, 7 in Essaouira, 5 in Safi, 3 in Youssoufia, 2 in Chichaoua and 1 in Kelaa des Sraghna.

19 confirmed cases were recorded in Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab), 13 cases in Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra (10 in Laâyoune and 3 in Boujdour) and 13 recorded infections in Guelmim-Oued Noun (7 in Guelmim, 3 in Assa Zag, 2 in Tan Tan and 1 in Sidi Ifni).

11 cases were confirmed in Beni-Mellal-Khénifra (5 in Fqih Bensaleh, 4 in Azilal, 1 in Beni Mellal and 1 in Khouribga), 9 in Drâa-Tafilalet (4 in Errachidia, 2 in Midelt , 2 in Tinghir and 1 in Ouarzazate) and 9 in Fès-Meknès (5 in Fès, 2 in Meknes, 1 in Taounate and 1 in Taza).
