Covid-19 in Morocco : 587 new infections and 463,966 people vaccinated as of Saturday

587 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 474,966. 463,966 people have received the vaccine against Covid-19.

619 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 453,921.

13 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 8,381. 5 of these deaths were recorded in the Casablanca-Settat region, 4 in Marrakech-Safi, 2 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 1 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima and 1 in Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab.

The country has 12,664 active cases, including 594 in critical conditions. 50 of them are on ventilators.

Casablanca-Settat recorded 245 infections: 172 in Casablanca, 29 in El Jadida, 13 in Settat, 11 in Nouaceur, 9 in Mohammedia, 5 in Mediouna, 4 in Berrechid, 1 in Benslimane and 1 in Sidi Bennour. Then comes Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma with 95 new cases: 27 in Tetouan, 25 in Al Hoceima, 18 in M'diq-Fnideq, 16 in Tanger-Assilah, 6 in Larache, 2 in Chefchaouen and 1 in Ouazzane.

Rabat-Salé-Kénitra follows with 73 cases: 27 in Salé, 14 in Khemisset, 11 in Skhirat-Témara, 11 in Kénitra, 5 in Rabat, 3 in Sidi Slimane and 2 in Sidi Kacem. 58 new infections were confirmed in the Oriental region: 29 in Oujda-Angad, 18 in Nador, 7 in Berkane, 2 in Taourirt, 1 in Driouch and 1 in Jerada.

Souss-Massa recorded 29 cases: 15 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 6 in Tiznit, 4 in Tata, 2 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul and 2 in Chtouka-Ait Baha. Marrakech-Safi recorded 28 infections: 13 in Marrakech, 6 in Essaouira, 2 in Chichaoua, 2 in the province of Al Haouz, 2 in Rhamna, 2 in Kelaa des Sraghna and 1 in Safi.

19 cases were confirmed in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (11 in Laâyoune, 6 in Boujdour and 2 in Tarfaya), 15 in Drâa-Tafilalet (5 in Errachidia, 4 in Midelt, 3 in Zagora, 2 in Tinghir and 1 in Ouarzazate) and 9 in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab).

8 cases were confirmed in Fès-Meknes (3 in Fès, 3 in Meknes and 3 in Taza), 6 in Beni-Mellal-Khénifra (4 in Beni Mellal and 2 in Khénifra), and 2 in Guelmim-Oued Noun (1 in Guelmim and 1 in Sidi Ifni).
