A clandestine textile plant in Tangier was flooded, Monday by the heavy rains, leading to the death of 28 workers, local authorities said. The victims are aged between 20 and 40 years old, TV channel 2M reported.
Local authorities intervened to rescue ten people who were transferred to the regional hospital, while the dead bodies of 28 workers were recovered, the same source reported.
Fire fighters are still carrying search operations to rescue other workers. The competent authorities opened an investigation to determine the reasons behind the incident.
