Moroccan singer reportedly received death threats following duet with Israeli musician

A Moroccan singer has reportedly been the target of death threats for collaborating with Israeli musician Elkana Marziano. Sanaa Mohamed is said to have «gone into hiding» and canceled an interview with Israeli media, writes Israel Hayom, quoting 12 News.

«We speak a lot. I speak the language a little … It was a natural alliance. She is in Morocco and I am Moroccan. So, doing this collaboration is exciting and is the best gift I could receive», the Moroccan-Israeli artist told the channel. The Moroccan artist is doing well for the moment, however, despite the threats.

The two artists published the song on YouTube on Monday and has already totaled 107,516 views.

Morocco and Israel agreed in December to fully normalize their diplomatic ties. The kingdom became the fourth country to make this decision, during the year 2020.
