Covid-19 in Morocco : 564 new infections and 746,116 people vaccinated as of Wednesday

564 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 476,689. 746,116 people have received the vaccine against Covid-19.

719 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 456,751.

12 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 8,436. 5 of these deaths were recorded in Casablanca-Settat, 3 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 2 in Marrakech-Safi, 1 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima and 1 in Drâa-Tafilalet.

The country has 11,508 active cases, including 541 in critical conditions. 41 of them are on ventilators.

Casablanca-Settat recorded 220 infections: 162 in Casablanca, 23 in Nouaceur, 20 in Mohammedia, 10 in El Jadida, 2 in Mediouna, 1 in Berrechid, 1 in Benslimane and 1 in Settat. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra with 96 new cases: 50 in Salé, 18 in Skhirat-Témara, 14 in Kénitra, 8 in Rabat, 5 in Khemisset and 1 in Sidi Kacem.

Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima follows with 64 cases: 24 in Tanger-Assilah, 13 in Larache, 10 in Tetouan, 10 in M'Diq-Fnideq and 7 in Al Hoceima. 57 new infections were recorded in the Oriental region: 26 in Oujda-Angad, 15 in Berkane, 13 in Nador, 2 in Driouch and 1 in Taourirt.

Souss-Massa recorded 42 cases: 24 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 8 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul, 8 in Taroudant and 2 in Chtouka-Ait Baha. Marrakech-Safi recorded 23 infections: 11 in Marrakech, 9 in Essaouira, 1 in Chichaoua, 1 in the province of Al Haouz and 1 in Rhamna.

16 confirmed cases were recorded in Beni Mellal- Khénifra (8 in Khouribga, 6 in Beni Mellal, 1 in Khénifra and 1 in Azilal), 11 in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (9 in Laâyoune and 2 in Boujdour) and 11 in Drâa-Tafilalet (8 in Errachidia, 2 in Ouarzazate and 1 in Tinghir).

The province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab) recorded 10 new cases, as did the Fès-Meknes region (5 in Fès, 2 in Meknes, 2 in Taounate and 1 in Taza). 4 infections were recorded in Guelmim-Oued Noun (3 in Guelmim and 1 in Assa Zag).
