479 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 478,135. 1,388,539 people have received the vaccine against Covid-19.
548 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 458,504.
10 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 8,460. 4 of these deaths were recorded in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma, 2 in Casablanca-Settat, 2 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra and 2 in the Oriental region.
The country has 11,171 active cases, including 485 in critical conditions. 43 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat recorded 195 infections: 143 in Casablanca, 14 in El Jadida, 11 in Berrechid, 10 in Mohammedia, 9 in Mediouna, 7 in Nouaceur and 1 in Settat. Rabat-Salé-Kénitra recorded 100 cases: 28 in Salé, 24 in Kénitra, 21 in Sidi Kacem, 10 in Skhirat-Témara, 7 in Khémisset, 5 in Rabat and 5 in Sidi Slimane.
Next comes the Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima region, with 42 cases: 23 in Tanger-Assilah, 8 in Larache, 6 in Al Hoceïma, 3 in M'diq-Fnideq and 2 in Tétouan. Marrakech-Safi recorded 40 infections: 31 in Marrakech, 2 in Youssoufia, 2 in Essaouira, 2 in Rehamna, 1 in Chichaoua, 1 in Al Haouz and 1 in Safi.
The Oriental region follows with 33 new cases: 14 in Oujda-Angad, 13 in Nador, 4 in Berkane, 1 in Guersif and 1 in Driouch. Souss-Massa recorded 23 cases: 19 in Agadir-Ida Ou Tanane, 2 in Chtouka Aït Baha, 1 in Inzegane-Aït Melloul, 1 in Tiznit.
Fès-Meknes confirmed 14 cases : 5 in Fez, 3 in Meknes, 2 in Boulemane, 2 in Taza, 1 in Sefrou and 1 Taounate. Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra identified 9, all in Laâyoune. Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab recorded 8 cases, all in Oued Eddahab.
Drâa-Tafilalet recorded 7 new infections: 3 in Ouarzazate, 2 in Errachidia and 2 in Tinghir. Beni Mellal- Khénifra confirmed 5 cases: 3 in Khouribga and 2 in Beni Mellal. In Guelmim-Oued Noun, 3 cases were confirmed in Guelmim.
