Covid-19 in Morocco : 476 new infections and 1,904,169 people vaccinated as of Tuesday

476 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 479,071. 1,904,169 people have received the vaccine against Covid-19.

1,079 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 460,628.

13 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 8,504. 4 of these deaths were recorded in the Oriental region, 3 in Casablanca-Settat, 2 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 1 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, 1 in Souss-Massa, 1 in Fès-Meknes and 1 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra.

The country has 9,939 active cases, including 448 in critical conditions. 44 of them are on ventilators.

Casablanca-Settat comes first with 254 infections: 186 in Casablanca, 21 in Mohammedia, 20 in Nouaceur, 10 in El Jadida, 7 in Berrechid, 6 in Settat, 2 in Mediouna and 2 in Benslimane. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra with 65 new cases: 39 in Salé, 11 in Kénitra, 6 in Skhirat-Témara, 5 in Rabat, 2 in Khemisset and 2 in Sidi Kacem.

Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima follows with 49 cases: 18 in Al Hoceima, 17 in Tanger-Assilah, 8 in Larache, 4 in Tetouan and 2 in M'Diq-Fnideq. 31 new infections were recorded in Marrakech-Safi: 25 in Marrakech, 5 in Safi and 1 in Rhamna.

The Oriental region recorded 30 cases: 14 in Oujda-Angad, 9 in Nador, 6 in Berkane and 1 in Taourirt. Drâa-Tafilalet recorded 16 infections: 9 in Zagora, 6 in Errachidia and 1 in Tinghir.

11 cases confirmed in Souss-Massa (6 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 2 in Tata, 1 in Tiznit, 1 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul and 1 in Chtouka-Ait Baha), 7 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra (5 in Khouribga and 2 in Beni Mellal) as well as 6 in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (4 in Laâyoune and 2 in Boujdour).

The province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab) recorded 5 new cases while one case was confirmed in Meknes (Fès-Meknes) and another was in Assa-Zag (Guelmim -Oued Noun).
