Four young people arrested following the sit-in that was organized on February 5 in Fnideq have received a six-month suspended sentence. The four young people are Yassine Razine (member of Al Adl wal Ihsane), Reda Al-Aafiqi, Noureddine Al-Hichu and Mohamed Makdar.

On February 5, the inhabitants of the small town in northern Morocco hit the streets in an «unauthorized» sit-in at Boulevard Mohammed V. They protested against the closure of the borders with Ceuta, which deprived hundreds of families of their main source of income.

The intervention of the public forces to disperse the protest resulted in numerous clashes and arrests among participants.
