Authenticity and Modernity Party MPs at the House of Representatives asked, Tuesday, in a written question, the Minister Delegate in charge of Moroccans living abroad, to protect Moroccan immigrants living in the streets abroad.

MP Latifa El Hamoud recalled that many Moroccans live in a situation of vulnerability and poverty abroad, particularly in Italy and Spain. According to her their conditions have worsened due to the pandemic of the new coronavirus.

In her question, the parliamentarian cited the case of a Moroccan homeless, aged 59, who died last week in Turin due to the cold weather. Called Mostafa, this Moroccan was sleeping near a bar in the center of the Italian city, after losing his job, the Italian agency ANSA reported a few days ago.

Latifa El Hamoud asked Nezha El Ouafi on the urgent measures that the ministry in charge of Moroccans living abroad intends to take to protect the lives of Moroccan citizens and improve the conditions of the poor and the most needy among them.

Last month, MPs addressed a question to Nezha El Ouafi, asking about the deaths of two Moroccan homeless people who froze to death in Spain and measures to protect Moroccans in an irregular situation in host countries.
