477 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 480,056. 2,233,123 people have received the vaccine against Covid-19.
970 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 462,436.
7 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 8,524. 4 of these deaths were recorded in Casablanca-Settat, 2 in the Oriental region and 1 in Marrakech-Safi.
The country has 9,096 active cases, including 432 in critical conditions. 36 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat recorded 252 infections: 196 in Casablanca, 20 in Mohammedia, 19 in Nouaceur, 8 in El Jadida, 6 in Settat and 3 in Mediouna. Next comes Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima with 51 new cases: 15 in Al Hoceima, 12 in Tanger-Assilah, 10 in M'Diq-Fnideq, 7 in Tétouan, 4 in Larache, 2 in Ouazzane and 1 in Fahs Anjra.
Rabat-Salé-Kénitra recorded 48 cases: 26 in Skhirat-Témara, 9 in Kénitra, 7 in Rabat, 3 in Salé, 2 in Khemisset and 1 in Sidi Kacem. 34 new infections have been identified in the Oriental region: 18 in Oujda-Angad, 9 in Nador, 5 in Taourirt and 2 in Driouch.
Marrakech-Safi recorded 26 infections: 20 in Marrakech, 3 in Safi, 1 in Kelaa des Sraghna, 1 in Chichaoua and 1 in Essaouira. Souss-Massa recorded 23 cases: 18 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 2 in Tiznit, 1 in Taroudant, 1 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul and 1 in Chtouka-Ait Baha.
18 cases were confirmed in Drâa-Tafilalet (15 in Errachidia, 2 in Ouarzazate and 1 in Tinghir), 10 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra (5 in Fqih Bensaleh, 2 in Khouribga, 2 in Azilal and 1 in Beni Mellal) and 9 infections recorded in Fès-Meknes (4 in Fès, 2 in Meknes, 2 in Taza and 1 in Taounate).
In the southern provinces, Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra and Guelmim-Oued Noun each recorded 3 new cases (2 in Tarfaya, 2 in Guelmim, 1 in Laâyoune and 1 in Sidi Ifni).
