Algeria : President Tebboune does not forget the Polisario when delivering a Hirak speech

In a speech he delivered, Thursday, Algerian President Abdelmajid Tebboune did not forget to defend the Polisario’s interests. «There is no solution to the Saharawi question apart from self-determination», he said, adding that the Sahara issue is a decolonization matter.

The President’s words did not change much compared to his position during his electoral campaign of December 2019.

«To Algeria and all the Algerian people with its institutions and its army, the question of the Sahara is a decolonization matter which will only be resolved by the organization of a referendum (…) There is no other solution», he said on October 10, 2020 during a speech.
