Good news for Reda Taliani. After 3 weeks of imprisonment in Dubai, he was released around February 10, 10 days after Yabiladi revealed his arrest on January 20, intoxicated and in possession of drugs in a bar-restaurant in Dubai. The Emirati police intervened following a violent altercation involving the native of El Biar, in Algiers.

On his release from prison, the raï music star wanted to share his joy with his fans, without specifically mentioning the reasons behind his absence. He rather spoke about sanitary confinement, implying a quarantine due to Covid-19.

However, a possible Covid-19 infection would not have prevented him from posting on social media, knowing that he is used to posting texts, photos or videos, almost daily. Unless «sanitary confinement» is a new name for a prison cell.

This return to freedom does not mean for the moment a resumption of the concerts he used to do at the Mazagan bar-restaurant, located at the Ramada Plazza hotel. The raï music star hopes to leave the United Arab Emirates where he has been staying for almost two months.

In the meantime, he fills his time during his extended stay between Dubai and Abu Dhabi by promoting his latest music video for his new song «Hakmek radar» on social media.
