444 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 480,948. 2,447,716 people have received the vaccine against Covid-19, while 13,476 received their second shot.
772 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 464,043.
8 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 8,548. 3 of these deaths were recorded in the Oriental region, 2 in Casablanca-Settat, 1 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, 1 in Souss-Massa and 1 in Marrakech-Safi.
The country has 8,357 active cases, including 423 in critical conditions. 33 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat recorded 259 infections: 200 in Casablanca, 18 in Mohammedia, 15 in El Jadida, 12 in Nouaceur, 8 in Settat, 5 in Benslimane and 1 in Mediouna. Next comes Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima with 48 new cases: 13 in Al Hoceima, 11 in Tanger-Assilah, 10 in Larache, 8 in M'Diq-Fnideq, 4 in Tétouan and 2 in Chefchaouen.
Rabat-Salé-Kénitra follows with 40 cases: 13 in Skhirat-Témara, 11 in Kénitra, 6 in Salé, 6 in Rabat and 4 in Sidi Kacem. 62 new infections were confirmed in the Oriental region: 13 in Berkane, 9 in Nador, 8 in Oujda-Angad and 2 in Jerada.
Souss-Massa recorded 22 cases: 9 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 7 in Tiznit and 6 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul. The province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab) recorded 12 new infections.
10 cases were confirmed in Marrakech-Safi (7 in Marrakech, 2 in Kelaa des Sraghna and 1 in Chichaoua), 9 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra (5 in Fqih Bensaleh, 2 in Beni Mellal, 1 in Khouribga and 1 in Azilal) and 5 in Guelmim-Oued Noun (3 in Assa Zag and 2 in Sidi Ifni).
Laâyoune recorded 4 infections, while 2 infections were confirmed in Fez and 1 case was recorded in Tinghir (Drâa-Tafilalet).
