Covid-19 in Morocco : 207 new infections, 6 deaths and 7,937 active cases as of Sunday

207 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 481,155.

621 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 464,664.

6 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 8,554. 2 of these deaths were recorded in Casablanca-Settat, 1 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 1 in Marrakech-Safi 1 in Souss-Massa and 1 in Drâa-Tafilalet.

The country has 7,937 active cases, including 417 in critical conditions. 32 of them are on ventilators.

Casablanca-Settat recorded 96 infections: 79 in Casablanca, 5 in El Jadida, 4 in Mohammedia, 4 in Nouaceur, 3 in Berrechid and 1 in Mediouna. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra with 37 new cases: 10 in Kénitra, 9 in Skhirat-Témara, 6 in Salé, 5 in Rabat, 3 in Khemisset and 3 in Sidi Kacem.

The Oriental region confirmed 18 cases: 7 in Oujda-Angad, 5 in Nador, 3 in Driouch, 2 in Berkane and 1 in Jerada. 17 new infections were recorded in Marrakech-Safi: 11 in Marrakech and 6 in Safi.

Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima recorded 14 cases: 7 in M'Diq-Fnideq, 5 in Tétouan, 1 in Tanger-Assilah and 1 in Chefchaouen. Souss-Massa confirmed 12 cases: 7 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 4 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul and 1 in Chtouka Ait Baha.

4 cases were confirmed in Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra (3 in Laâyoune and 1 in Tarfaya), 3 in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab) and 3 in Fès-Meknes (2 in Taza and 1 in Fez). Finally, Beni Mellal-Khénifra recorded 2 new cases (1 in Beni Mellal and 1 in Fqih Bensaleh) while an infection was confirmed in Ouarzazate (Drâa-Tafilalet).
