446 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 481,709. 2,635,859 people have received the vaccine against Covid-19, while 31,232 received their second shot.
808 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 466,105.
15 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 8,574. 4 of these deaths were recorded in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, 4 in Souss-Massa, 3 in the Oriental region, 2 Casablanca-Settat, 1 in Marrakech-Safi and 1 in Drâa-Tafilalet.
The country has 7,030 active cases, including 440 in critical conditions. 33 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat recorded 266 infections: 203 in Casablanca, 16 in Mohammedia, 14 in Nouaceur, 12 in El Jadida, 10 in Settat, 7 in Berrechid, 2 in Médiouna and 2 in Benslimane. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, with 56 cases: 21 in Kénitra, 17 in Skhirat-Témara, 12 in Salé, 5 in Rabat and 1 in Sidi Slimane.
Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima follows with 51 cases: 20 in Tanger-Assilah, 10 in Larache, 9 in Al Hoceima, 7 in M'Diq-Fnideq, 2 in Tétouan, 2 in Ouazzane and 1 in Chefchaouen. 18 cases were confirmed in the Oriental region: 6 in Nador, 4 in Oujda-Angad, 4 in Berkane and 4 in Driouch.
Marrakech-Safi has recorded 18 cases: 13 in Marrakech, 2 in Safi, 1 in Youssoufia, 1 in Kelaa des Sraghna and 1 in Chichaoua. Souss-Massa recorded 8 infections: 4 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane and 4 in Taroudant.
7 cases were recorded in Drâa-Tafilalet (3 in Tinghir, 2 in Errachidia, 1 in Ouarzazate and 1 in Midelt), 7 in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab ) and 4 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra (2 in Beni Mellal, 1 in Khouribga and 1 in Khénifra).
Fès-Meknes and Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra each recorded 4 new cases (2 in Fez and 2 in Meknes for the first and 3 in Laâyoune and 1 in Tarfaya for the second) while 3 new infections were confirmed in Guelmim (Guelmim-Oued Noun).
