244 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 483,654. 3,435,997 people have received the vaccine against Covid-19, while 161,906 received their second shot.
239 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 469,046.
8 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 8,623. 3 of these deaths were recorded in the Oriental region, 2 in Casablanca, 1 in Sidi Kacem, 1 in Marrakech, 1 in Marrakech and 1 in Khouribga.
The country has 5,985 active cases, including 429 in critical conditions. 28 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat recorded 99 infections: 87 in Casablanca, 4 in Berrechid, 3 in Nouaceur, 2 in Mohammedia, 1 in Settat, 1 in Médiouna and 1 in Benslimane. Next comes the Oriental region with 38 cases: 27 in Oujda-Angad, 5 in Nador, 3 in Berkane, 2 in Driouch and 1 in Figuig.
Rabat-Salé-Kénitra follows with 28 cases: 7 in Salé, 7 in Skhirat-Témara, 5 in Rabat, 4 in Kénitra, 4 in Sidi Kacem and 1 in Khemisset. 23 infections were recorded in Marrakech-Safi: 21 in Marrakech, 1 in Essaouira and 1 in Safi.
Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima follows with 19 cases: 11 in Al Hoceima, 4 in Tanger-Assilah, 2 in Tétouan, 1 in Ouezzane and 1 in Chefchaouen. Souss-Massa recorded 14 cases:10 in Agadir-Ida Ou Tanane, 3 in Inzegane-Aït Melloul and 1 in Chtouka Aït Baha.
In Beni Mellal-Khénifra, 7 infections were recorded: 6 in Beni Mellal and 2 in Khouribga. Laâyoune-Es Sakia El Hamra has confirmed 6, all in Laâyoune. The Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab region recorded 4 new cases, all in Oued Ed-Dahab.
Drâa-Tafilalet recorded 3 infections: 2 in Zagora and 1 in Ouarzazate. 3 cases were confirmed in Fès-Meknes: 1 in Fès, 1 in El Hajeb and 1 in Taounate.
