During a session held Saturday, the Secretary-General of the Justice and Development Party Saadeddine El Othmani denied reports linking the resignation of Human Rights Minister Mustapha Ramid to a government visit to Israel.

«These are lies», El Othmani said during the opening of said session, PJD’s Facebook page reported.

Dyring his speech, El Othmani referred to Israel as a «state of occupation» and reiterated his support for the struggle of the Palestinian people. It is worth mentioning that El Othmani signed, on December 22, a joint declaration between the United States, Israel and Morocco. No PJD minister, member of the general secretariat, opposed it, including Mustapha Ramid.

Aziz Rebbah, the Minister of Energy and Mines, even said he was prepared to visit Israel as part of his government duties. A position denounced by Abdelilah Benkirane and the deputy Abouzaid Idrissi. Abdelkader Amara, who manages the Department of Transport and Equipment, has already met on December 22 in Rabat with an Israeli delegation.
