112 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 483,766. 3,568,670 people have received the vaccine against Covid-19, while 232,980 received their second shot.
299 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 469,345.
14 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 8,637. 5 of these deaths were recorded in Casablanca, 2 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 2 in the Oriental region, 2 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, 2 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra and 1 in Marrakech-Safi.
The country has 5,784 active cases, including 394 in critical conditions. 28 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat recorded 50 infections: 45 in Casablanca, 2 in El Jadida, 2 in Nouaceur and 1 in Sidi Bennour. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra with 20 cases: 9 in Salé, 4 in Skhirat-Témara, 5 in Rabat, 1 in Khemisset and 1 in Kénitra.
The Oriental region follows with 10 cases: 5 in Oujda-Angad, 4 in Nador and 1 in Berkane. 9 infections were confirmed in Beni Mellal-Khénifra: 5 in Khouribga, 3 in Khénifra and 1 in Azilal.
Marrakech-Safi recorded 7 cases, all in Marrakech, while Souss-Massa recorded 5 new infections (4 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane and 1 in Tiznit).
5 cases were confirmed in Fès-Meknes (2 in Meknes, 2 in Boulmane and 1 in Fez), 2 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (1 in Tétouan and 1 in M'Diq-Fnideq) and 2 in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab).
1 infection was recorded in Midelt (Drâa-Tafilalet) and another one in Tan Tan (Guelmim-Oued Noun).
