393 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 484,159. 3,657,468 people have received the vaccine against Covid-19, while 293,857 received their second shot.
523 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 469,868.
8 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 8,645. 2 of these deaths were recorded in Marrakech-Safi, 2 in Raba-Salé-Kénitra, 1 in Casablanca-Settat, 1 in the Oriental, 1 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima and 1 in Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab.
The country has 5,646 active cases, including 380 in critical conditions. 24 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat recorded 247 infections: 209 in Casablanca, 22 in Mohammedia, 14 in Berrechid, 14 in Nouaceur, 6 in El Jadida, 5 in Settat, 3 in Benslimane and 1 in Sidi Bennour. Next comes the Oriental region, with 34 cases: 13 in Oujda-Angad, 9 in Nador, 7 in Berkane, 3 in Driouch and 2 in Taourirt.
Marrakech-Safi follows with 18 cases: 13 in Marrakech, 3 in Safi and 2 in the province of Rhamna. 16 infections were recorded in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra: 6 in Skhirat-Témara, 5 in Rabat, 4 in salé and 1 in Khemisset.
Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima confirmed 15 cases: 7 in Tangier, 4 in Al Hoceima and 4 in Larache. Beni-Mellal Khénifra recorded, for its part, 14 infections, all in the city of Beni Mellal.
6 cases were confirmed in Drâa-Tafilalet (3 in Zagora, 2 in Errachidia and 1 in Tinghir), 6 in the province of Oued-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab) and 4 in Souss-Massa (2 in Chtouka-Ait Baha, 1 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane and 1 in Taroudant).
3 infections were recorded in Laâyoune (Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra), 2 in Meknes (Fès-Meknès) and one in Tan Tan (Guelmim-Oued Noun).
