394 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 485,147. 3,820,097people have received the vaccine against Covid-19, while 413,032 received their second shot.
508 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 470,933.
16 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 8,669. 4 of these deaths were recorded in Casablanca-Settat, 3 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 2 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, 2 in Marrakech-Safi, 1 in the Oriental region, 1 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra, 1 in Fès-Meknes, 1 in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra and 1 in Guelmim-Oued Noun.
The country has 5,545 active cases, including 374 in critical conditions. 19 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat recorded 230 infections: 188 in Casablanca, 19 in Nouaceur, 10 in Mohammedia, 4 in Mediouna, 4 in Benslimane, 2 in El Jadida, 2 in Berrechid and 1 in Settat. Then comes Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima with 39 cases: 12 in Al Hoceima, 11 in Tanger-Assilah, 6 in M'Diq-Fnideq, 6 in Larache and 4 in Tetouan.
The Oriental region follows with 28 cases: 22 in Oujda-Angad, 3 in Nador and 3 in Berkane. 24 infections were recorded in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra: 10 in Salé, 8 in Skhirat-Témara and 6 in Rabat.
Beni Mellal-Khénifra recorded 21 cases: 8 in Fqih Bensaleh, 6 in Beni Mellal, 4 in Khénifra and 3 in Khouribga. Marrakech-Safi, for its part, recorded 19 infections: 17 in Marrakech and 2 in Essaouira.
8 cases were confirmed in Souss-Massa (5 in Tiznit, 1 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 1 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul and 1 in Chtouka-Ait Baha), 7 in Drâa-Tafilalet (4 in Midelt, 2 in Tinghir and 1 in Errachidia) and 7 in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhal-Oued Ed-Dahab).
Fès-Meknes recorded 6 new cases (4 in Fez and 2 in Meknes), 4 in Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra (3 in Laâyoune and 1 in Tarfaya) and one in Assa Zag (Guelmim-Oued Noun).
