Covid-19 in Morocco : 407 new infections and 3,913,615 people vaccinated as of Saturday

407 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 485,974. 3,913,615 people have received the vaccine against Covid-19, while 578,942 received their second shot.

509 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 471,919.

3 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 8,676. 1 of these deaths was recorded in Casablanca-Settat, 1 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra and 1 in Marrakech-Safi.

The country has 5,379 active cases, including 357 in critical conditions. 19 of them are on ventilators.

Casablanca-Settat recorded 258 infections: 224 in Casablanca, 13 in Nouaceur, 12 in Mohammedia, 4 in Berrechid, 3 in El Jadida, 1 in Settat and 1 in Benslimane. Next comes Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima with 49 cases: 23 in Tanger-Assilah, 12 in Larache, 7 in Al Hoceima, 4 in M'Diq-Fnideq, 2 in Ouazzane and 1 in Tetouan.

The Oriental region follows with 25 cases: 20 in Oujda-Angad, 4 in Berkane and 1 in Taourirt. 19 infections were recorded in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra: 6 in Salé, 5 in Rabat, 3 in Khemisset, 2 in Sidi Kacem, 1 in Skhirat-Témara, 1 in Kénitra and 1 in Sidi Slimane.

Beni Mellal-Khénifra recorded 12 cases: 4 in Khénifra, 4 in Azilal, 3 in Fqih Bensaleh and 1 in Beni Mellal. Marrakech-Safi recorded 11 infections: 10 in Marrakech and 1 in Essaouira.

11 cases were confirmed in Souss-Massa (8 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 1 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul, 1 in Chtouka-Ait Baha and 1 in Tiznit), 9 in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (8 in Laâyoune and 1 in Tarfaya) and 7 cases in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab).

Fès-Meknes were reported 4 infections (2 in Fès, 1 in Sefrou and 1 in Ifrane) while Drâa-Tafilalet confirmed 2 cases (1 in Errachidia and 1 in Ouarzazate).
