Moroccan authorities decided on Monday to suspend flights to and from Poland, Norway, Finland and Greece. According to the announcement published on the Facebook page of the National Airports Office (ONDA), this measure also concerns flights to and from Lebanon, and Kuwait.
The same source adds that «passengers traveling from these countries through another country are also affected» by this suspension.
As part of the preventive measures against the spread of the new Coronavirus and its variants, the Moroccan authorities have decided to suspend flights to and from around twenty countries. These countries are Algeria, Egypt, Italy, Belgium, Turkey, Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Portugal, Sweden, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, Denmark, United Kingdom and Brazil.
These preventive measures mainly target the spread of new variants of SARS-CoV-2, of which 24 strains have been detected in Morocco.
