Belgian-Moroccan Super heavyweight kickboxer Jamal Ben Saddik was arrested at his place in Belgium on suspicion of belonging to an encrypted mobile phone network that has parallels with EncroChat.

The Belgian-Moroccan sportsman is one of 120 people arrested between Belgium and the Netherlands. His court appearance is scheduled for Friday, which will determine whether he will remain in detention or not.

Since February, police have managed to access «hundreds of millions of messages through this crypto service hacked by the police», AD news reported. In both countries, investigators managed to intercept a total of 1 billion suspicious messages.

Jamal Ben Saddik has been fighting for the Glory world heavyweight title for several years. He is one of the most famous heavyweight boxers, alongside Rico Verhoeven and Badr Hari.
