464 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 487,750. 4,130,606 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine so far, while 972,079 people have received the second.
519 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 474,257.
7 deaths were recorded in Morocco in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19-related deaths to 8,712. 4 of these deaths were recorded in Casablanca-Settat, 2 in Drâa-Tafilalet and 1 in Marrakech-Safi.
The country has 4,781 active cases, including 412 in critical conditions. 25 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat recorded 315 infections: 253 in Casablanca, 27 in Nouaceur, 15 in Mohammedia, 7 in Settat, 5 in Mediouna, 5 in Benslimane, 2 in Berrechid and 1 in El Jadida. Next comes the Oriental region with 50 cases: 39 in Oujda-Angad, 6 in Nador, 2 in Taourirt, 2 in Driouch and 1 in Figuig.
Marrakech-Safi follows with 24 cases: 16 in Marrakech, 3 in Chichaoua, 3 in the province of Al Haouz, 1 in Kelaa des Sraghna and 1 in Safi. 19 infections were recorded in Souss-Massa: 9 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul, 8 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 1 in Taroudant and 1 in Chtouka-Ait Baha.
Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima recorded 19 new cases: 8 in Tanger-Assilah, 6 in Larache, 4 in Al Hoceima and 1 in Tetouan. Rabat-Salé-Kénitra confirmed 15 infections: 5 in Rabat, 5 in Kénitra, 3 in Sale, 1 in Skhirat-Témara and 1 in Sidi Kacem.
6 confirmed cases were recorded in Drâa-Tafilalet (4 in Tinghir and 2 in Errachidia), 5 in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab) and 4 in Laayoune- Sakia El Hamra (3 in Laâyoune and 1 in Es-Smara).
Beni Mellal-Khénifra confirmed 3 new infections (2 in Beni Mellal and 1 in Fqih Bensaleh) as well as Fès-Meknes (1 in Fez, 1 in Taza and 1 in Ifrane) while one case was recorded in Sidi Ifni (Guelmim-Oued Noun).
