Covid-19 in Morocco : 305 new infections and 392 recoveries

305 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 488,937. 4,210,770people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine so far, while 1,471,738 people have received the second.

392 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 475,849.

5 deaths were recorded in Morocco in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19-related deaths to 8,723. 2 of these deaths were recorded in the Oriental, 1 in Casablanca-Settat, 1 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma, Rabat-Salé-Kénitra and 1 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra.

The country has 4,365 active cases, including 395 in critical conditions. 25 of them are on ventilators.

Casablanca-Settat recorded 193 infections: 152 in Casablanca, 23 in Nouaceur, 8 in Mohammedia, 7 in El Jadida, 1 in Berrechid, 1 in Settat and 1 in Mediouna. Rabat-Salé-Kénitra follows with 41 cases: 18 in Salé, 8 in Kénitra, 5 in Sidi Kacem, 5 in Rabat, 4 in Skhirat-Témara and 1 in Khemisset.

Marrakech-Safi recorded 20 new cases: 9 in Kelâa des Sraghna, 7 in Al Haouz and 4 in Marrakech. Next comes the Oriental region with 15 cases: 12 in Oujda-Angad and 3 in Nador. 13 infections were recorded in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima: 6 in Tanger-Assilah, 4 in Tétouan, 1 in M'Diq-Fnideq, 1 in Ouezzane and 1 in Chefchaouen.

Souss-Massa recorded 7 cases: 4 in Agadir-Ida Ou Tanane and 3 in Inezgane-Aït Melloul. Drâa-Tafilalet confirmed 5 new infections: 3 in Tinghir and 2 in Errachidia. 5 cases were confirmed in Fez.

Guelmim-Oued Noun recorded 3 cases: 1 in Sidi Ifni, 1 in Assa Zag and 1 in Tan Tan. 2 cases were also recorded in Oued Ed-Dahab and 1 in Laâyoune.
